Distal & Diaphyseal Fibula
Indications:
The implants of the Activ Ankle range are intended for the fixation of fractures, osteotomies and pseudarthroses of the distal and the diaphyseal fibula, for the fixation of fractures of the medial malleolus and for the syndesmotic repair in adults.
- 3 types of distal plates designed for different kinds of fractures, skins, bone quality and surgical techniques
- 2 surgical approaches: lateral and postero-lateral
- Optimal design reducing the risk of soft tissue irritation thanks to the rounded distal edges
- Dualtec System 2 technology: polyaxial holes allowing +/-10° angulation (20° cone)
Implants
- 3 types of distal plates: lateral standard in 5 sizes (length 75 to 187 mm) available in right and left versions, lateral narrow in 2 sizes (length 76 to 102 mm) and postero-lateral (73 mm) available in right and left versions
- 1 symmetrical diaphyseal plate (65 mm) – Diaphyseal fixation: Ø3.5 mm locking and non-locking cortical screws, length 10 to 24 mm (2mm increment)
- Epiphyseal fixation: Ø2.8 mm locking and non-locking screws, length 10 to 24 mm (2mm increment)
- Fixation in case of syndesmosis injury: Ø3.5 mm non-locking cortical screw and Ø4.0 mm lag screw, length 40 to 70 mm (5mm increment)
